With a strong background in both studio art and art history, Meghan brings more than a decade of experience in post-war and contemporary art sales and market expertise to the clients of Murphy & Partners.
Before joining, Meghan worked for the Contemporary Art department of Sotheby’s from 2009 to 2019. While there, she was a Specialist and key member of the New York Contemporary Curating sales team, whose sale results more than tripled during her tenure. She focused on generating business and advising clients on acquisitions for the global Contemporary auctions and private sales, with experience working on many important single-owner and estate sales. Her connoisseurship is grounded in the post-war period, but spans to include recent work by numerous established living artists.
Meghan holds a Master’s degree in Art Business with Distinction from the Sotheby’s Institute of Art and a BFA in Art History with Highest Distinction from the University of Kansas.
